Abstract
Accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of energy is the key to building a new energy system and achieving the dual carbon goals. As a new engine driving high-quality economic development, studying whether the digital economy can effectively promote the green and low-carbon transformation of energy and its transmission mechanism is crucial for achieving green and low-carbon development in the energy sector. In this context, this study uses inter provincial panel data from 2011 to 2020 in China as a sample to empirically explore whether the digital economy affects the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, and uses a two-way fixed effects model to test the transmission mechanism of industrial structure upgrading in promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy in the digital economy. At the same time, the spatial spillover effects of the digital economy on the green and low-carbon transformation of energy are examined.
