Research on the impact of green financial development on carbon emission intensity-based on the perspective of energy structure transformation

绿色金融发展能够优化经济发展模式,赋能经济绿色低碳发展,是助力“双碳”目标实现的重要抓手。基于2006—2019年中国252个地级市的平衡面板数据,运用固定效应模型实证分析发现:绿色金融发展会显著抑制碳排放强度,稳健性检验的研究结论与之一致;能源结构转型是该影响效应的重要作用渠道;绿色金融发展对碳排放强度的影响存在异质性,绿色金融发展对西部地区城市和低技术发展水平城市碳排放强度的抑制作用更强。根据实证结果,从完善能源结构转型顶层设计、搭建绿色金融信息共享平台、丰富绿色金融产品创新体系、健全绿色金融风控能力建设4个方面,为构建系统的绿色金融体系提供相关建议。
Green financial development can optimize the economic development pattern and empower the green and low - carbon development of the economy, which is an important tool to help achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals. Based on the balanced panel data of 252 prefecture-level cities in China from 2006 to 2019, this paper finds that green financial development significantly suppresses carbon emission intensity, which is consistent with the results of robustness tests; energy structure transformation is an important channel for this effect; there is heterogeneity in the effect of green financial development on carbon emission intensity, and green financial development has more suppressive effect on carbon emission intensity in western cities and cities with low technology development level. Based on the empirical results, this paper provides suggestions for building a systematic green financial system from four aspects: improving the top-level policies of energy structure transformation, building the green financial information sharing platform,enriching the green financial products, and improving the green financial risk control capacity.
