Abstract
The shortest spontaneous combustion period of coal seam is one of the most important indicators of coal spontaneous combustion risk. When mining coal seams that are prone to spontaneous combustion or spontaneous combustion, it is firstnecessary to evaluate the spontaneous combustion risk of coal seams. According to the chromatographic analysis and indexoptimization of coal seam spontaneous combustion marker gas, the index gases of CO and C2H4 are determined for No. 2325 combustible extremely thick coal seam group in a coal mine in Xinjiang. Based on the oxidation heating temperature testof coal, various gas production rates and their change trends with temperature in the No. 23-25 combustible extra-thick coalseams were measured in different temperature change intervals. The specific heat capacity of coal samples under differenttemperature conditions was obtained by DSC experiments, and the time for the coal samples to rise to various temperaturepoints was calculated by sections through the improved Karenkin model. The shortest spontaneous combustion period of thecoal seams in the mine was 39 days by superposition of each period of time. Our study provides a basis for the safe miningof the coal seam group and the design and implementation of the safe and effective fire prevention and extinguishing measures.
