亚欧大陆中部区域诸条河流是连接高山气候系统与大陆性干旱气候系统的现实纽带,并形成东起祁连山脉东段北南麓、西至厄尔布尔士山脉西端北南麓的巨型东西向径流带;以此为基础,在亚欧大陆中部区域形成东起祁连山脉东段北麓、西至厄尔布尔士山脉西端南麓的巨型东西向山前光热水耦合带、巨型东西向山前光热水土耦合带、巨型东西向绿洲带;巨型东西向径流带为亚欧大陆中部区域一系列山前平原绿洲、交通线路、生产活动、聚落的形成发育提供了充分的河流水文支持条件,进而为形成巨型东西向条带状延伸的丝绸之路经济带奠定了自然地理河流水文基础。

The rivers in the central region of the Eurasian continent have become a link connecting the alpine with the continental aridclimate system. They form a vast east–west runoff zone from the north–south foot of east part of the Qilian Mountains in the east tothe north-south foot of the Alborz Mountains in the west. Taking this runoff zone as an important foundation, substantial east–westpiedmont light-heat-water and light-heat-water-soil coupling zones, and a vast east–west oasis zone are formed in the above region.This giant east–west runoff zone provides sufficient river and hydrological support for the formation and development of a series ofpiedmont oasis, transportation routes, production activities, and settlements in the central region of the Eurasian continent. It thus laysa foundation to support the formation of a huge east–west strip-like Silk Road Economic Belt in physical geography.
