This article deeply analyzes the current situation and future development trends of the coal industry under the “dual carbon” targets. It actively constructs an investment value evaluation system for listed companies in the coal industry that covers 4 dimensions and 9 specific indicators; using principal component analysis, scientifically evaluate the investment value of four dimensions and comprehensive indicators of 23 coal industry listed companies; furthermore, cluster analysis was used to further classify the 23 selected coal industry listed companies into three types of investments. On this basis, relevant suggestions are put forward for coal industry operators to further improve their own investment value and capital market investors to make scientific investment decisions, so as to help the green transformation and upgrading of the coal industry and the healthy and benign development of the capital market.
